ŠIK „Polimlje“ have at their disposal considerable saw-mill timber processing capacity and wood verneer and verneer panels manufacturing.
The Saw-mill is equiped with two full vertical reciprocating saws and a couple of rail saws for the primary log cut-through, as well as with the accompaning equipment for the secondary treatment of the cut-through material into a standard sawn timber from fir/spruce trees and various paletts from beech trees.
A larger part of the production capacity of the veneer panels and blanks factory, which has a long tradition, has been innovated in the past years thanks to the considerable investment funds. For instance, a new up-to-date production line has been purchased to be used in peeled verneer manufacturing stage. The line consists of a peeling machine with a continuous peeling speed change complete with an automatic log centering device and pneumatic scissors (guillotine) for treatment of raw-veneer which follow the rhythm of the peeling machine running with automatic verneer sorting out tables.
Veneer drying is performed on a four-stage duct-like drier with nozzles, which due to an up-to-date heat transmission, makes the drier efficient in view of power cosumption and capacity and in view of veneer drying quality as well.
Joining veneer to timber board is carried out on a continuous joining unit in combination with formatting scissors, after the veneer joints had been treated on the automatic slitting-cutter with two power units for two-side polishing and single-passage glue application.
Assembling of short wood verneer to latoflex laths is arranged to be done on three smaller, standard „zigzag“ stiching unit with synthetic thread.
Verneer panels are manufactured on an up-to-date pressing line which includes a glue application machine, workbenches with a conveyor belt for panels construction and a six-stage hydraulic press, working surface of a stage being 5400 x 1300 mm, with a front and a back lift for fully mechanized press charging and discharging. Vacuum device for the press provide an automatic removing of finished panels after being pressed.
Final tratment of panels include formatting on the formatting saw with three working tools, while the final polishing is carried out on a modern line consisting of two wide-rail contact polishers with two power units each, which are interconnected so as to form a unique technological whole. The vacuum device in front of the polishers provide for an automatic feeding of the panels into the polishers.
Latoflex laths production line include 10-stage hydraulic press with concave-convex heating plates, a formatting saw and an assigned multiple slitting cutter for panels slitting and length profiling of latoflex laths.
Appropriate power and transport equipment round off a technical and technology whole of the factory, as a significant production entity in this field in the territory of Montenegro.
